The Guidance Department at Medgar Evers College Preparatory School is quite unique in terms of the quality of academic advisement, social and emotional support that we provide our students.

Guidance Counselors remain with the same students throughout their school life. As a result, we develop an excellent relationship and rapport with each student. This relationship provides for the best possible academic advisement because we are acutely aware of the learning styles and development needs of students.

The academic guidance we provide at Medgar Evers College Preparatory School enables our students to become excellent scholars who are well prepared for college and or the world of work.

Socially, we provide a kind, nurturing and supportive environment for our students. As a result, most students have developed trusting and life long relationships with their counselors. Additionally, our counselors have established and maintained mutually respectful relationships with most of our parents.

We will continue to serve our students in the best possible way so that they will truly realize their potential as capable students and productive citizens.
