Message from the Science Department @ Medgar Evers College Preparatory School

The science department of Medgar Evers College Preparatory School provides all students with a rigorous science education. During their science exposure, all students are challenged to:
• learn science incrementally to college level
• conduct intra and interdisciplinary research
• balance scientific theory with experimentation and application
• create workable solutions to global environmental problems.
Our Science Curriculum provides strong foundations in Biology, Earth Science, Living Environment, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and Physics. In addition, we offer Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry, Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Advanced Placement Physics B and Advanced Placement Physics C.
Other science courses such as Organic Chemistry and Pathophysiology are offered at Medgar Evers College where students may take them in the Dual Enrollment program.
We ensure that all students learn and appreciate science. We hope that students will experience great excitement and diligence in our classrooms. The goal of the science department is to prepare all students to attain the highest level of excellence in their science education which will enable them to be more competitive in college and other future endeavors.
